Robbinsdale is a first-ring inner suburb right next to/ with easy transportation access to everywhere in Minneapolis - so what you're essentially saying is Minneapolis is dead - I doubt many people would move to Robbinsdale because they want to work in Robbinsdale- it's simply a nice, normal, everyday inner-ring suburb. And what's your beef with Brooklyn Park? I find some posters' brief one-liners that dismiss entire cities/ geographic areas to get tiresome - IMO if you're going to give advice, why not try and be specific and try to provide information that is actually useful to someone?
To the OP - go to
www.minnesotaworks.net, set up an account, and job search there. Brooklyn Park has a lot of industry and a pretty fair amount of jobs esp. in the warehouse/ manufacturing fields. Go to the Boone Avenue corridor and put in apps, and while you're up there check out the hennepin north workforce center (
Hennepin County). There's another area/ street that is where you see alot of little second-rate hotels (i'm forgetting that street name) off of 94 (just north), i think between 100 and 81 but can't say for sure - there are numerous companies that are frequently hiring in this area. You could also try spots in Brooklyn Center like Caribou Coffee warehouse/ HQ, and whatever that big furniture warehouser is across the street from them (I'm horrible with recalling names tonight), etc. Also, Maple Grove has gotten pretty easy to get to from Brooklyn Park these days and there are a fair amount of jobs there - besides retail/ restaurant positions, I know a lot of their manufacturing/ warehouse positions go through temporary agencies so you may want to get your resume into places like aerotek's maple grove branch (
aerotek, maple grove, mn - Google Search). The Northland Inn and all the little hotels often have position openings as well. Good luck-
