Stillwater really isn't north of Minnetonka-slightly I suppose but it would be more east.

What? Elk River has a bunch of older homes. Elk River was a pretty big city feeding off of Highway 10 before I94 was built. I could show you neighborhoods that look like the one in Juno

I wish! But there's no way it was based on Alexandria.

Wikipedia says that the idea of the movie was thought up in a Minneapolis Starbuck's, so that could be a good indication.
