There are some nice 'burbs north of Vadnais Heights, Hugo and Centreville. I would choose VH instead of working in downtown St. Paul where you join the daily commuter hell. One could even live in Shoreview and take a back road to VH. My brother does that. Shoreview is nice and is part of two highly rated school districts (Mounds View and Irondale).

I love St. Paul. Theres always events going on. I dont really car much for nightlife anyway, I prefer events like the Winter Carnival, the St. Patrick's Parade etc.

What St. Paul lacks is lakes like in Minneapolis, but we got beautiful places to hike around the Mississippi.

I love the sense of community here. I know a ton of people in the neighbourhood and I just moved her 9 months ago.

I grew up near moose lake and even took my ACT there! It’s a nice small town. Very safe and pleasant. I left there for St. Paul as soon as I could for college I think it depends on what floats your boat.

Moose Lake has a nice cemetery, Sunset. I have many relatives buried there. It’s where my father’s family grew up. There’s also a nice quaint train depot. It’s close to Duluth too, 45 minutes tops.
