Ok, Robert, just to show you once again I am never wrong , here is a link to the history of the development of Rosemount. Rosemount was settled by Irish immigrants, thus the nickname for the school, the IRISH. In the summer we celebrate Leprechaun Days. The Catholic church is full of Irish symbols. Rosemount has a VERY Irish history.

Stevie Wonder and Golfgal
Now, If you'd actually READ my post, Golfgal, you'll see that I am not refuting the dubious (Irish) beginnings of Rosemount, I'm just saying that the town pays lip service to that fact without really having any Irish content beyond store names.
I was in greater Caledonia the other day (the one street), and I distinctly heard two old men talking in the gutteral sputterings that can only be Norweigan. Wow. A store clerk told me that 15 years ago, Norweigan was a common language spoken in his store and on the street.

Yeah, My gradparents spoke norwegian, my father spoke norwegian, and I picked up a bit of it myself. We would call our grandparents by their norwegian nicks when they were alive -- Gammlefar (Grandad) and Gammlemor (Grandmother).
Anyway it's pretty common. We also have alot of German in our language.

Well, since you want to get snarky, Robert knows full well that we have a good banter back/forth. This post is also old and why you need to bring it back up mystifies me.

We moved to Lakeville, right across from lakeville South a few years ago. I have wanted nothing more than to move closer to my home state of PA for years, however, after being in Lakeville it's getting tough to still say that!! This suburb is 1st rate. It feels very small townish and the community is amazing. Schools have tremendous parent dedication and the kids really are very well mannered, smart and well parented. Our elementary school was just ranked as one of the top 10 in Math in the state (some of the other top ten where gifted magnet schools.) So they are doing a great job. There is a new grocery store coming, Best Buy, new restaruants so it will just keep getting better as far as access to things. The largest Lifetime Fitness in the country just opened as well.
I don't think there is a swimming club though but many other great organizations like hockey, football, baseball, soccer, etc. I'd suggest really taking a close look here. We are really happy with our move.
