If you think Duluth needs a Chipotle please list the place you think it should go in. List as much information about the site as possible. Chipotle needs information on Duluth sites, and I did email them about this, and they said once they get enough sites in Duluth suggested that they will start considering it and passing the information on to the Minnesota branch of development. Take the following information about criteria for a Chiptole in consideration, daytime and night time traffic flow, demographics, price of building, liquor licenses, parking and availability. Lets see what we can come up with!

Location One: Near the Electric Fetus across from Pizza Luce on Superior street. Renovated building site, parking under construction (underground access on Michigan St). High traffic volume area. They could contact A&L properties for info. Demographics: Business people, college age students, developing night life, tourists.
Location two: Mt. Royal Shopping Center near UMD. Higher density living, wealthy neighborhood, 15,000 college students, plenty of parking. Location three: Trinity Road-high traffic volume, available land, close to the Miller Hill mall and Lake Superior College. |

Thanks newcastle! Ill make sure to forward your suggestions. What land are you talking about on Trinity Road? The land next to Valvoline that Miller Hill Mall owns? Or Duluth Hill, across from Home Depot and Olive Garden?

The land next to Valvoline. However, the Welsh sites across from Home Depot and Olive Garden also offer a good location.

Ok just making sure! That site next to Valvoline actually would be very good!! Thanks for your input!

Does the world really need another "make your own burrito" franchise location? Aren't there any local Mexican restaurants in Duluth? There certainly aren't a lot in the Twin Cities, but it's enough to keep me from going to this glorified Mexican subway and its many knock-offs.

What we need is a place that does tlacayos and huaraches or real Baja style food, or maybe a place that basically serves meat with different chile sauces. There's so much diversity in Mexican food. Chipotle, unfortunately, isn't part of that mix.

I-35 - Boundary Avenue is a high visibilty traffic area that would be a great location for better establishments.

Kuan and Bighusker, Duluth already has a few local mexican joints, one chain mexican place wont hurt any bit. I think and I belive many others also think Chipotle is a great mexican restaurant. Your entitled to your opinon and so are we. One place one hurt, thats my opinon.

We have a few local Mexican places, most of them quite good. However, we only have one "quick" burrito joint that isn't Taco Johns/Taco Bell style (which is local, and really nice!). Chipotles would be great to have up here. If I want real mexican, then I'll go to a real mexican restaurant. But if I want good, quick, non-greasy, organic burritos, then it's currently only Burrito Union or (hopefully) Chipotles.
