Anyone ever visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum?
I have seen the museum, and at the time you could also take a little hike to see the creek and all that. I don't know how much it has changed, as it was about 15 years ago already. My parents lived in Tracy, Vesta, and a few other small communities, and we always used to do those things.

As for Walnut Grove, it was a pretty small town. I would try looking up houses on places like century 21. Even so, nothing may be listed online. You may want to take a day trip and check out the area.

Default Good Old Walnut Grove....:)

I Grew up in Walnut Grove, MN. Unfortunately the filming of the show and the town do not look alike. The filming portrays mountains there are no mountains, not that many hills either. They did not do a very good job matching the town of Walnut Grove when they filmed the show.

The closest bigger town to Walnut Grove is actually Windom (aprrox. 4,500 people. After that the next biggest town would be Worthington (approx. 10,000 people).

There isn't anything to do in this town or anything close to it. Even Laura Ingalls Wilder from Little House on the Prairie spent her teen years there. All the earlier years were spent in DeSmet, SD. She would have lived there longer if she wasn't so bored.

The only thing "sleepier" to living in this town would be Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.
