Do us Minnesotans have an accent?
Over the years I have heard from various people throught the US and other areas that us Minnesotans have an accent. What does everyone think? My friend in North Carolina thinks we never finish our sentences. Any thoughts?

I do believe you do... I take a annual vacation to northern Minnesota and we always know when we get to the region when we hear folks talking...

I think we have a very "thick" accent. Especially in Central and Northern Minnesota. I can even hear myself doing it.

Absolutely there is a MN accent. When I moved west people would ask me all the time where I was from, now when I go back to MN I can hear the difference. It's not as bad as the movie Fargo, but similar.

Well...everyone has an accent, technically speaking.
There's something about the way everyone speaks that makes their voices 'special' to their home region. Your thread has me curious now as to what "Minnesota" sounds like...I've never been there! (yet!)

That's a good way of putting it. A toned down Fargo (the movie) accent.

Man what I get around others with an accent I find myself talking like them. Funny, I was in Hannibal MO and someone asked me if I was from up North.
