Default Moving Back, Brainard or Alexandria

Well long story, short version...
My wife is from Anoka and we jus spend a week up ata Lake Ida...
Also drove around a lot and looked ata some homes...

Now wondering how is living up around the Brainard area and how are lake home prices doing upa there...

We are both of Scandahoven descent and miss the activities i.e. Son's of Norway etc..and good Lefse. along with social activities, and of course the fishing...summer and winter...and some huntin..

She retired me still a workin...mostly from home..

So, if someone would like to say a somethin we would appreciate it.

Hunter Lars Wold and M

Alex is a little closer to things but YIKES for home prices, unless you don't want lakefront then they aren't too bad. I think the Brainerd area still has some affordable homes-for lake property anyway. Fergus Falls has some very reasonable lake property prices, just for another option. Brainerd has more golf courses if that matters? It is more northwoodsy then Alex too.

I would choose Alex over Brainerd. I think Brainerd looks a little run down. The city of Brainerd and the wealthy tourist areas are like night and day.
