There aren't a lot of posters on the boards from the Brainerd or Alex area so you might not get any reply. Try the Chamber of Commerce or Visitor/Convention sites for both and they might have something there.
I know there is a Swedish Institute in Minneapolis and they might be of some help??

GOLFGAL, how COULD you? Swedes and Norwegians are two different critters! Just because their home countries are on the same peninsula, they look similar and sound sort of the same to non-Scandinavians doesn't mean they ARE the same!
To the OP: maybe check with the Sons of Norway in the Twin Cities for more information. They should be able to help you.

I know but he was asking on another post about Scandinavian info so it is sort of close. He can always check at Ikea.

Different critters....
No, Norwegians and Swedes are not the same but as Hunter Wold's spouse, I'd like to add an informational comment on membership requirements for the Sons of Norway and Daughters of Norway organizations. Membership is not restricted to Norwegians. A person may be of Swedish, Danish, Icelandic, or Finnish ancestry--or just be married to one who is. The Sons of Norway accepts women as members, but Daughters is for women only. --H.W. spouse
