Question Deer River, MN ??

I recently inherited a home in Deer River, MN
I've yet to see it but I'm curious of the area as I would consider moving there (i live in minneapolis), it seems like a beautiful place but I've never been.. Does anybody know anything about it as far as just how rural it is? I'm primarily curious about places to work ( i don't mind driving a little), and if internet is available. Thanks, anything anybody could give me would be great

Deer River, population 903. I've been to the nearby Leech Lake are and liked it alot. I don't know what your field is but your best bet for employment would be Grand Rapids (population 7764 and about 14.5 miles from Deer River). Hibbing (population 17071) is an hour away and could also be an option. Duluth is over 2 hours away so it would NOT be an option.

Not sure about Deer River but Mediacom is in Grand Rapids, so I'd say it's possible. Grand Rapids is beautiful. I've only driven through Deer River so I don't remember too much about it, but they are close enough and everything you would need would be in Grand Rapids. Small town but it's got it all - Wal-Mart, Target, groceries, good restaurants, etc. Grand Rapids swells to like 30,000+ in the summertime too.
