Starbucks, Caribou, Dunn Brothers, or local coffee shop
Starbucks, Caribou, Dunn Brothers, or your local coffee shop.
What is your favorite? My favorite, is a shop in Sartell called "Liquid Assets." Of the big chains I prefer Starbucks.
- Local
- Starbucks
- Dunn Brothers
- Caribou

Darn...
I put in Caribou cause when I am a coffee drinker I choose there. Really though, it's probably so rare I would not be considered a coffee drinker.

I picked local although it's not really considered that, but I really like the coffee at Kwik Trip. Otherwise I don't really drink coffee except for about 2 or 3 cold coffees a year from Starbucks or Caribou.

I like Caribou because I feel their roasts are consistently good. I really liked the Yirgacheffe and the Mahogany roast is one of my favorites.

It's always preferrable to support a local shop. Of the chains I'd take Caribou over Starbucks - better atmosphere and better coffee. Trust me, as a NWer, you get REALLY sick of Starbucks!

I love Dunn Bros. They are a Minnesota based company, they roast their beans right in the store and every one has a different design. I would love to see one in the Shoreview/Arden Hills area and more of them in the Twin Ports area.

Although I normally prepare my own coffe, I occassionally support two local coffee shops in south Minneapolis, Firefly between 34th and 35th st and Cedar Ave and Sister Sludge on 46th and Bloomington Ave. Although I'm not enough of a coffee drinker to comment on the quality, the service and environment highly exceeds that of a large chain.
I took my wife to a Caribou a few months ago (the location will go unnamed) and shortly after finishing her beverage she was violently vomiting.

I prefer Dunn Bros. There're all good, but my consistant Favorite is the one on Snelling & Grand. I also like to buy my coffee there: French Roast Java; Between Caribou & Starbucks, I've found that some people who really like coffee prefer it a bit weaker, they prefer Caribou; those who like it strong prefer Starbucks. Have you found differently?

Caribou
When I started drinking coffee I started with SB. But lately i started loving caribou taste, free refills and when they started free internet I dont want to go anywhere else. I work most of time on my laptop from a coffee shop and caribou is excellent choice for me.
