Hey Midnite, did you have school today? It snowed down here today, had to shovel again yuck!!!!!
I really meant what I said about your job, you need to get more praise for what you do to help those kids. Sometimes we forget to say thank you to people for doing a job well done, so here is my big thank you!!!!!
How are the temps up your way now???? It wasn't to bad today down here, last I heard it was at zero. Well keep warm, and take care.

Hi Yorkie,
We had a 2 hour late start yesterday (was still close to -30 overnight/early morning) but it "warmed up" to above zero by noon--whoo-hoo! Still pretty cold today, but at least we're creeping above zero during the daytime still. If only the darn wind would stop, it would probably feel warm! At least the sun is out. Still no snow. We've had VERY little snow up here this year. Not a whole lot of business for the folks who cater to snowmobilers.
Thanks again for your kind words...it sure is nice to get a pat on the back once in a while Some days it feels like you can never make anyone happy, but some days I feel like I have the best job in the world!
To Tj...yes -40 is damn cold either way you look at it. Just like 100 above...humid or dry, it's still hot.

Whoa...they didn't even give you a tent with a FLOOR? Now that's roughing it!
(unless I"m seeing the picture wrong and you're actually sitting outside the tent?)

Does this cold bother you? Have you had to adjust after a move, or are you a native?

Army tents dont have floor.
And thats a good thing, coz then we can heat up with a multifuel ovn.
Tho it feels weird when u sleep turnaround and stick ur face in the snow floor...
And no u dont sit like that outside in the temp we had... that is "sucking" in heat position inside the tent

I'm from Northern Minnesota, any further north and I'd be in Canada! I could handle the super cold weather, I just made sure not to spend any more time otuside than I absolutely needed to. I moved to Utah in August and the coldest it has gotten so far is 10 degrees and I have found that I'm so much colder! I think my body got used to being warm back in August and September and I forgot what the real cold was all about.
Though I do get a weird pleasure of telling my mom that it was 45 here the other day while her toilet froze at -40 back home.
