You just deal with it like people in Phoenix or other desert areas deal with the average 112 temp in the summer...
I live in Yuma, AZ right now getting ready to move to Maine but was born/rasied in MN and all my family & friends back home in MN always ask how can you do it? How can you handle the 112 temps?
You just deal no matter where you are.

Yes, it gets very cold, and I can't take it. Some people like it, but I can't stand it. I like it when it's 90 degrees. I'll probably move south when I'm older.

Haha. I don't care for Walmart, I'd rather hop in my car and drive the hour and a half to Virginia to go to Target.

i agree the problem is the heat not the cold. i live in louisiana and it is sooo hot that 3/4 of the year i stay with a constant sunburn. and when it gets down to 32 degrees people go nutty over here and act like they are sooo cold and going to die. well, yea you gonna be cold with just a little coat. put on some more clothing. you can always put more layers on 3, 4, 5 layers...whatever it takes. but with the heat, you can only take off so much

Does this cold bother you? Have you had to adjust after a move, or are you a native?

Exactly! I moved from MN to Utah about 7 months ago and I only saw a small fraction of the summer heat. I really don't know how I'm going to be able to handle it. I looooove the cold and I'm absolutely miserable when it is hot. I really should move to Alaska or something.

Glad to hear someone else loves cold weather and snow besides me. I hate hot weather--can't stand sweating or swatting (bugs, which come with hot weather). And as someone else said, when it's hot, you eventually run out of clothes to take off--but when it's cold, you can always add a layer.
I am soooo loving the blizzard right now. It's beautiful!

I have a feeling that I'll be questioning my move here in a few months. Those temperatures will start to climb and I won't know what to do! Bring on the cold!
