Smile Cake Business in Red Wing, MN
I am thinking about opening a cake shop in Red Wing, MN. I wanted to know if there is a market in need of elegant wedding and special occasion cakes in the town or surrounding towns. Since Minneapolis and St. Paul are the closest locations to great cake shops, I thought of bringing one down to the growing town of Red Wing, MN.

I know the St. James holds a lot of weddings so that might be a good contact for you. Maybe find the banquet manager and see if you can meet and discover if there is a market for wedding cakes there.

Not to be a smarty pants...but is "elegant" code word for "high end"? You won't get MSP prices in small town MN. But the overhead will be lower too.

I got married about 8 years ago in RW and we could only find people from word of mouth that worked out of their homes. Could work for you! Also contact Mississippi National Golf Links, RW country club.
