Looking for a place in Turtle River where I can meet someone and have a cup of coffee or soda

There is a few bars but that is about it. Your best bet is Blackduck or Bemidji.

What about the golf course, can you drink there if you don't play a round?

Buena Vista ski resort isn't open yet.
There is the supper club/bar right there in Turtle River as well, (in fact, that might be the entire "town") not sure what kind of place you're looking for.

I used to go to Pour Willies back in the day for lunch before Willy died and they sold the bar.
