Default hotel rec near Mayo Clinic
I would like to stay in downtown Rochester for appointments to Mayo Clinic...any suggestions?

I would definitely recommend the Kahler. It is a classic 1920's era hotel that takes up an entire block and the pool is on the 12th floor, 3 great restaurants(Lord Essex is the best), two floors of retail connected to subway to clinic buildings and has rooms from all price ranges.

I've never stayed at any of the downtown hotels, but if you are having any trouble finding one, most hotels do have shuttles to the Clinic. My husband would recommend the Kahler as well.
