Contractor has insurance check and we fired him
Our insurance company mailed us a check issued to us AND our mortgage company. Our contractor had us sign the check and was to send it to our morgage company along with the adjusters report. He didn't, he cashed the check, we then decided that we did not want him to do the work. What can we do to get our money back to get the work done by a different contractor. Also it is important to note that we have not signed any sort of contract with the contractor.
