Default Need Advice on a good high school for child with Aspergers

Hi,
My 11 year old is currently attending a middle school in ISD 196 and we appreciate his progress in that school .He has Aspergers and is very high-functioning with his major area of need being organizational support.I would appreciate any advice on public or private schools that would be a good choice for a child like him for his high school years( we would be willing to move,if needed).Especially,if there are any private schools that are inclusive of kids like him which are academically gifted but need support in social/organizational areas.
thanks
Angelica

The support programs your son has should continue into high school. I am not aware of any private schools that are solely for Asperger's kids or for gifted kids with various challenges. Have you met with the counseling staff/special needs teachers at the high school yet? They might be able to give you some information on how things will work for him at the high school.

My nine year old who is in fourth grade was recently diagnosed with aspergers as well. I am so concerned about her middle school years as her social skills just aren't there. I too have wondered if there is a school district that deals with this condition more effectively than others. We are in Anoka-Hennepin 11. Good district, but just curious what others may think.
