Default Look at the moon tonight

There are two bright objects in the sky next to the moon. The brighter one is Venus. What's the other?

Isn't that lovely?

I saw that driving home from work and then once I got home I dragged my hubby out to see it. MPR says that we won't see this configuration again until 2052 (which I won't be around to see it then!).

Well Venus has been starring in the night time sky all Summer Long. In Spring it was sitting more or less in the South Eastern Sky and has now progressed into the Western Southern Sky where Jupiter is keeping it company during the early evening.

The night time sky viewing in Minnesota is spectacular and this while not quite an event is definately special to see.

Venus has been a Brightly lit object all summer long. Jupiter isn't always as visible as this. Take a moment or two to see this as the moon wanes into darkness leaving the skys dark and spectacular.
