Bluesky costs $99 for the activation + $99 for the satellite + $49.99 per month so just as expensive and I get 1/10 the speed of cable.

Funny, when we really lived in the sticks we had 4 choices for internet providers, one dial-up, one DSL and 2 cable.

Frontier net? Don't get me started- one of my relatives moved from one part of MN to another and then had only choice of internet: Frontier net. She wasn't very happy as previously she had more choice, also Frontier net is more expensive ( she had Media com) and she thinks Frontier net is far inferior to Media com- her computer has been down several times ( ok, more than that) since she switched. You should get more choice, but people don't. I jokingly refer to Frontier net as Pioneer net- as in they are pioneers ( ie inexperienced, etc in internet service ), just my opinion.

Maybe that's the prob GG we only have cell phones. Charter appears to be the only service and they're okay but pricey! I consider anything over $20 in this day and age for DSL pricey, and $65 with basic TV is extortion!

With nearly everyone one the internet and technologies improving all the time we shouldn't be paying anywhere near this sort of price to surf. One company in AV = monopoly.

I agree--in our old town we paid $70/month for phone, cable and cable internet, we were more then double that with Charter. Competition is good-the Charter fees in our old town were the same $70, here they are about $190 after their 'initiation' period.
