Becker = Horrible View of a hideous Power Plant.
I live in STMA and can see that from my house.

Be Warned
Hi film, I have lived in central and southern MN all my life.Right now I live in the twin cities.Ask me about a town and I might have lived there. What do you plan on doing for work?I have worked in many fields of employment in this state.I know the employment game in MN like the back of my hand. And let me tell you the job outlook in MN is GRIMM.There are to few jobs with to many applicants. And it is not going to get any better anytime soon.Dont get me wrong, I like MN and in a couple of years we will be our old selves. Its just right now is a bad time to move to MN and alot of other states too. When spring comes I will be headed west to ND.They have a better job market right now.We always have had a better economy than ND,SD,IW, but not this time.

I grew up in Rochester, have relatives living in Mankato/New Ulm, and have lived in Minneapolis for 10 years. Let me know if I can be of any service.

Few things about me. I am young in my twenties; single; self-sufficient; reserved.
I like small/rural areas, old houses, and fixing 'em up. Are they plentiful in MN in rural areas? Is property/land tax expensive? Is it outdoors friendly? I like to hunt, fish, and camping. Is it a gun-friendly state? Both handguns and rifles.
Is it expensive to live in MN? What kind of employment is available in MN? I barely have a career; sans degree to boot. Would that shut me out of jobs besides "You want fries with that, sir?" or "Welcome to WALLLLMAAARTTT! Need a cart?!"

As an outsider to MN, it sounds like MN would fit you perfectly. I love the houses here, they aren't cookie cutter houses, they all have their own brand of charm. Even the big ones. As for rural areas, can't say much about that other than it seems if you live rural, you are still able to be close to the cities.
One thing that has prolonged me hawling a$$ up outta here are the corporations headquartered here. I've done really well and plan to continue when I move.
If you want to learn more about the people of MN, just keep reading. You didn't mention that part in your question, so if it's important to you, it's important that you read all about it.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Not good to hear you're having difficulties. What kind of line are you in? And what is the most popular job type (besides health)?
I have found plenty of openings, most in northern MN, but nothing career-oriented as I don't possess a career nor a degree.
The whole country is bad, and for me, it's a perfect time to move.

Your crazy even thinking about moving to MN no jobs, high taxes and colder winters and summers than most of Alaska. More liberal politice than Califronia and just as many laws. housing cheap housing,o jobs. There are so many beautiful places in America why would enyone choose MN? I have lived in five different states and grew up and lived 1/2 my life in Minnesota I do not like a place you need to have your heat on in July and is -30 below in the winter.
