There seems to be a high incident of brain tumors/cancer in this area and a lot of people have speculated and there have been news reports about a problem that was created by the lumber companies and their practice of coating beams (railroad ties) with a chemical that has leeched it's way into the drinking water/wells.

I had read that the Environmental agencies have monitored the dust in peoples homes, checking for these chemicals. They have been doing this for the past 10 years now and have many reports of chemicals being in this dust collected from inside of peoples homes

I have personally known at least 5 people in this area (Cass County, Crow Wing County and the Bemidji area) that have brain tumors or have died from brain cancer.

I wondered if anyone else has heard/read about this problem? I know that I only drink bottled water now since my health has taken a turn for the worse.
