Very nice to see others looking to Minnesota for Vacation. The Twin Cities are much nicer than the national perception. Really no one knows much of anything about them except for the fact that they are in Minnesota and are home to the Mall of America.

Hopefully thier visit will be a pleasant one. I beleive Minneapolis and St Paul had some positive exposure during the Republican National Convention last year. The positive exposure hopefully negated the negitive exposure from the I-35W Bridge Collapse. Actually since the new structure has already opened up so very quickly, it should be a good sign for Minnesota's vitality in the sense that we rebounded from tragic circumstances so quickly.

I can't recomend a better State to explore in these economic down turn times. The State has such reasonable prices throughout and is rich in culture, agriculture and Nature.

Although we do have numerous indoor attractions I still strongly recommend visiting here during the warm months as well. I personally like it here ten times more during the warm months (May-October).

Mall of America revises its plans for expansion

Sad to see that the mall has to give up the plans for their huge 5 million square foot expansion. But atleast they still are planning 3 Million square feet I dont get in the article how the mall keeps talking about how the project will be completed in "Phases" but they only talk about one phase scheduled to be finished in 2013. I really hope that Bass Pro Shop and Great Wolf Lodge still try to find a way to locate in the expansion.

Its usually cold in the amusement park. The hallways and stores are warm, some of the restrooms are also very cold.

If your goal is to do lots of shopping and take advantage of the no-sales-tax-on-clothes thing, keep in mind that there are plenty of other shopping places (including plenty of malls) to visit in the area, many of them possibly offering better bargains than the MOA. Also, the Twin Cities is Target's HQ and has some huge Target stores; I don't know the actual statistics, but it seems like they're bigger and offer more variety than the Targets in any other state I've lived. I think one mall is pretty much the same as the next one, so if you end up all malled out you'll find lots of interesting other things to do in the Twin Cities.

The Edina Target is 195,000 sq. ft., which I think makes it the largest.

There is a kiosk on the 2nd level outside of either Macy's or Nordstrom (I think) that has what you are looking for . It is right by one of the escalators.

If Bass Pro moves in I wonder if the mod cut crowd is gonna have to take down their (Non legally binding) signs banning (lawfully carried) firearms on the premesis.

Bass Pro is on the same keel as Cabella's, is it not? I can't imagine how a fairly large outfitter of (among many other things) firearms and firearm equipment would tolerate a poicy that alienates as large a customer base as the MOA seems to try to do...
