Default Good Paying Jobs in the Twin Cities

Can any of you guys recommend some good jobs in the Twin Cities area or elsewhere in MN? I am moving there soon, and will have to have a full time job for a whole year in order to become a resident. So, I am trying to figure out what would be a good job to do when I get up there. I am looking for something where you can work a lot of hours...like 80 hours a week...with of course the best pay possible. Anyone have and suggestions? I have a college degree in Psychology, but am actually planning on going back to further my degree, but must work full time for a year first in order to become a resident.

You can go on line at DOER.com (Department of Employee Relations) and type in Corrections Officer for information.

it's not a .gov site? www.doer.com is some personal site in Rochester NY.

The medical technology industry here probably offers some of the best overall growth opportunities. Not sure about the 1st year's pay, but if you are thinking long-term, it is a good industry to get into. That is, of course, if it interests you.

There are literally hundreds of large and small firms in that field here.
