Default Commute times from Wayzata to St. Paul?

Could antone give me a ballpark estimate of commute times between Wayzata and St. Paul, during rush hour and not-during-rush-hour? Many thanks.

I used to work with someone who did Wayzata to Eagan and during the rush hour it could take at least an hour. I've driven St Paul to Wayzata and back at the weekends and it's taken me 20-30 minutes, depending on weather and time of day. The most direct route is along I-394 & I-94 but you can get badly hung up at the interchange between the two highways and the Lowry Tunnel where several roads merge into one.

I used to have to drive from Minnetonka to St. Paul all of the time and it could take up to 2 hours in the winter during non-rush hour (or if it rained). About 1 hour 15 minutes if traffic was moving good. I didn't drive it during rush hour at all. And I think coming from Wayzata would be a little less time WHEN I-394 is NOT under construction.

There is going to be construction on I-394 downtown this summer due to the new Baseball Stadium which is being build. So that will make it very difficult to take a direct route. Also a large section of Highway 36 is totally closed until November.

Going all the way around on either 494 or 694 is going to be a very long drive indeed! Sorry to say, you're looking at a very long commute.

I would either move to St. Paul or find a job in the west metro.

I don't do the drive during rush hour, but my drive from Wayzata to St. Paul to see Wild hockey games (which I do regularly) usually isn't more than 30 minutes. Sometimes, it can be a few minutes less. Plus, 394 gives you the option of buying a toll pass, where you can use the "sane lane" if you are by yourself (price varies based upon demand).

Wayzata is a great neighborhood. I don't blame you for looking there.
