If there is anyone out there familiar with a mobile home safety checklist, criteria, qualifications for condemning a mobile home, and how the process begins please PM me.

Does this process vary from state to state?

I have been conducting internet searches and I can't find any useful information.

Scenario: bowed floor, bowed roof covered with tar and a tarp to cover holes, age approx 45 with no electrical upgrade, leaky plumbing underneath floor, plywood on bathroom floor r/t rotting/soft floor.

Sounds like something out of a bad comedy...but it's real and currently habited.

Are you living in this home? If it is somebody else, you should think twice before trying to have it condemned. This could potentially make somebody homeless.

No, I don't live in this home but thanks for your input. Sometimes safety issues trump all else (i.e. dying in a fire, breathing mold, pests, carbon monoxide, etc.). I'm sure the health department would feel the same way.

I was hoping for some technical input.

If there are children involved and you are worried for their safety, call Child protective services or if the house is in very bad condition call the housing inspector from that city and make report.

Thanks. Before I do that, I wanted to see if there was a criterion or a list of criteria that need to be met. I hate to be hasty. I would hate to have intervention if it is not necessary.
