Default Eagan area- questions

Hi- I am moving from Prior Lake to Eagan in May. I have a daughter who is 15- do you know if Eastview or Eagan is a better high school? Our home school is Eastview, but I heard if you want to try a transfer, it has to be done during THIS school year for NEXT school year, is this correct?
Plus- does anyone know about Thomas Lake Elementary?- good? I have a 6 year old also.
THANK YOU!!

Both schools are good. Most people that transfer do so to participate in an activity the is better at one school vs the other. Academically the schools are pretty much identical. Thomas Lake elementary is good as well. As for open enrollment, it is too late to open enroll. That needs to be done in January the previous year. Also, for the most part the 196 schools are not taking open enrollment since the classes are full. You will have no problems at Eastview--which in my opinion is the second best school in the district behind Rosemount.

Thank you for the info! I called Eagan High school, and they think that I may be able to choose Eagan over Eastview, that they have a few openings. The only problem would be transportation- it's not a guarentee.
Thanks again!
