Lovely pics! They make me miss Minnesota a lot! Used to live in Duluth, and Knke0204 I love that ore boat shot!

I would also love to see recent pics of the rural areas aroudn the MN river valley - Jordan, Young America, Victoria, Carver, all those pretty pretty spots. If anyone has recent pics, post them for me! Thanks!

Thanks, I was hoping to get out to Portland and see my aunt this summer and visit Powells Books, but our plans changed. Too bad.

Not bad, but can't compare to the PNW in my book.

No one ever said it did compare to the PNW. This isn't a "compare one region of the country to the other" thread. So leave discussion of that out.

I finally uploaded "new" pics. The last pic is pretty new, from about a week ago. The first four are from May, I believe. Don't be fooled, the skies may be clear, but it was a pretty chilly day (50 or so with north and/or east winds. BRR)

4th and 4th

A view of Park Point (and some of the bridge) when going down Mesaba. Lots of waves that day.

The ever famous Coppertop Church. Very visible up on the hill.

Downtown through my windshield. Notice the skywalks? For downtown folk, they're lifesavers during the winter.

Can you spot it?

Been both places, and it does compare quite well! It all depends on what your after. Personally, I say BC/Banff/Jasper spanks the NW (OR and WA) if you want to get into comparisons; but as acrylic said, that's not what this is about!
