Has anybody heard how fast the season tickets are selling??
I'm guessing it will be tough to get a ticket for the 1st month or two. It is a beautiful ball field.

I believe the Twins had announced about 11,000 season tickets for 2009 in the Metrodome which was a record for them and no doubt influenced by the priority given to these ticket holders for 2010. In May, those season ticket holders could begin with their seat selection for 2010 at Target Field.
I haven't heard of how the '10 ticket sales are going but even with a big increase I think you will find single game tickets available for every game. Those single game tickets will undoubtedly go fast and I would anticipate most if not all of the games to be sell-outs for next year.
I attempted to get 4 tickets for the Twins at Wrigley this past March when their single game seats went on sale and got to the point of purchase but wasn't completely satisfied and by the time I got back in queue to try for 2, the seats I wanted were all gone. I was trapped in their "waiting room" for a few hours as I think they were giving priority to Chicago based IP addresses. Point is, I think you could get single game seats if you are prepared to purchase them immediately when they go on sale. I believe the opener is not part of the partial seaon ticket packages and may not be part of the full season package either.

I'm glad things are going well for season ticket sales.
Personally, I refuse to pay good money to sit in the rain. Therefore I can wait for the hoopla to die down a little and catch a nice sunny day and purchase some scalped tickets. I am only a fair-weather friend when it comes to baseball.
I'm surprised that they give better seats to local IP addresses. Who would have guessed.

What did you try? Ticketmaster? Even ticketmaster only has access to a certain amount of seats. You just have to know other methods of acquiring tickets. Stubhub, ticket brokers, Cubs ticket sales direct line. I was at 2 of the games for the Twins at Wrigley and I got my tickets 2 weeks before and they were awesome seats lower level by 1st base.
I seriously doubt the websites favored Chicago IP addresses, because I was at the games and there were a TON of Twins fans at the game. Probably 50% of the stadium wore Mauer jerseys.
Also, there's no way Target Field will look like Wrigley. Wrigley is in a class of it's own, it's very old school looking and it's very small and limited seating. I've never been to Camden, but I heard that stadium is like a hideaway stadium. It's right off the streets of downtown and if you pass by it you wouldn't necessarily know it was a stadium from the outside.
From the pictures I've seen of Target Field, it definately looks like a mix between The Cell and Comerica. The Cell is definately bigger, but Comerica is about the same size it seems, and it also has the Detroit skyline in right field like Target Field will have. I would maybe guess the Jake is similar but the Jake looked a lot different on the outside.
I'm sure Target Field will be unique, all the stadiums are in multiple ways.

The grass is being grown on a Colorado turf farm in Fort Morgan and is due to be installed next month. It is being sent here in refrigerated trucks and is due to be installed within 24 hours of "harvest".
I believe each blade of grass will be able to be raised, lowered and tilted as needed depending on the team we are playing or batter in a particular situation. Our bunts will never roll foul! Their bunts will speed up towards our fielders.

I figure it is only a matter of time before they turn it into a Wrigleyville-esque bar called "The Garbage Burner"
