Default Need a Walkable SW Neighborhood near Twin Cities (Bloomington, Shakopee, etc.)

I live in South Minneapolis, Nokomis area, and before that lived on the cusp of southwest and uptown, downtown minnie on the river, and downtown St. Paul. I am an urbanite, and I like to have some cool shops, restaurants, etc. to walk to. My husband just got a job in Scott County all the way down in Jordan, MN, and I work in W. Bloomington. I am wondering if there are any neighborhoods you would recommend that have great walkable centers in the SW burbs, Bloomington, or anywhere in that general direction where we can be closer to both our jobs. I looked at Prior Lake (small and spendy but cute) Shakopee (feels like a different planet, but has some stuff) Bloomington (is there a cute corner like 48th and Chicago anywhere?) and would be open to parts of Edina, Eden Prairie, whatever you have. The closer to the Cities though, the better probably. We have two dogs and love to garden, but no kids (yet). Thoughts on all are welcome - Thanks!

Try Chaska-cute downtown area with a few fun shops but also has Target, etc in town. It would be pretty close to both jobs.

Remember Hopkins too. It still puts him far from Jordan, but it is a quick commute for you and Main Street has most everything you would need.
