Let me give you an example. This was run by the Star Tribune's nation section and is based on an Associated Press story:

Police in Ohio say boy, 3, apparently shot self to death accidentally with father's handgun

Last update: July 23, 2009 - 10:20 AM

VANDALIA, Ohio - Police say a 3-year-old southwest Ohio boy has died after apparently shooting himself in the face with his father's gun.

The boy's mother said in a 911 call Tuesday afternoon that William McAnaul pulled the trigger after he found the 9 mm handgun under a bed in the family's home in the Dayton suburb of Vandalia. He died at a Dayton hospital later in the day.

Vandalia city spokesman Rich Hopkins calls it an "absolutely tragic accident." Police Lt. Harry Busse said Wednesday that details of the shooting would not be released until the investigation was complete.

The Montgomery County Coroner's Office says autopsy results are pending.

Now as you can see from this article the general questions are all answered:
Who: A 3 year old southwest Ohio boy
What: shot himself to death
When: Tuesday afternoon
Where: Vandalia, a suburb of Dayton, OH, died in a nearby hospital later that day
Why: Presumably an accident
How: Found a 9mm handgun under his father's bed and shot himself with it.
The only other thing mentioned was a direct quote about the incident made by a spokesman of the city.

The story is very basic and informative based on the facts that were released by authorities. I don't understand how these types of stories could have any kind of bias unless you want to make very subjective claims based on the verbiage used, etc.

agreed on that story. I wish they were all that staight forward.

I will try to dig one up that bothered me a while back. Couple weeks ago or so. It was about something to do with a city using emminent domain and compensating owners for the land. It said "the bank" was going to keep that money instead of allowing homeowners to have it, but nothing about what bank, if the mortage would be credited, or the reasons why they did that. Sure there was some reasons, but it would have been nice to get that info.

[quote=MN-Born-n-Raised;9857757]I agree with your point of view on this one (politicians want to support our troops). When I googled "governor trip to Iraq" (as well as other permutations) I only saw IL, MO and a couple of other governors that visited Iraq. The IL Gov took a lot of heat for it.....quote]

I believe ND's Gov has been there 2-3 times. I think MN ranks right up there, too, but, per capita, ND has more soldiers over there than any other state...there are several smaller units over there right now, but a couple large ones are recently home & another 800 national guard are leaving in a few weeks. Our states also tend to have a stronger than average tendancy to support and encourage our troops...maybe because nearly everyone has a family member or good friend over there.

I was born & raised in west central MN. The Wertish family was active in 4-H, FFA, etc. I believe his dad is the same age as one of my sisters & 1 of his uncles (dad's brother) is married to someone from another sister's class.

I googled John Hoeven + Iraq. Yep. He was in Iraq. Then I googled John Hoeven and "President". Guess what, it looks as though he was polishing his resume as well. (See John Hoeven in the White House as Vice President? : gaming, movies, tv, local stories as he was in the race for VP.

Maybe Hoeven and Pawlenty could save some money and room together when they are visiting vital spots like Israel for "trading partners".
