Cool OK, OK, thinking of going back to MN...

My wife is from Anoka, and I am Norweign, and we miss the "real" life style that we need.
We moved from the Northwest to the Southwest as she has arthritis...but the winters here at 7000' are cold also..so...what's the trade off.
cheaper taxes here, and and we have a nice log home, and 140 acres, but.
at our age, over 60 we are thinkin why not be with those that we can associate with..
We miss "lutefisk" etc. we fish the summers and good fishin, I miss Ice fishing

so, I thinkin we jus might move back...our "prepaid" burial is in Anoka..so let's just save some $$ for moving the leftover back hummm...

So what if it's cold for a while, it's cold here for a while, and I have so much stuff to do inside...

Wanta trade a home in the Southwest..

We are looking at the Alexandria area, as we were up thar last year...nice hosptial..I hope, nice folks etc.

We also like Starbuck etc..

Looking for some contacts to get us set straignt..

HW and SuninHair.

Alexandria has a large retiree population. I'm sure having the hospital nearby is a big reason why its population has grown along with all the lakes...

Keep in mind that for an outstate town, Alex is a pretty expensive place to live. It is a very popular cabin town and property anywhere near a lake is VERY expensive. In town, away from the lakes it is more reasonable. The summer lake traffic is pretty heavy if you don't mind that but it also keeps the town vibrant. It is a lovely area of the state.

You're in serious need of professional help.
But then again, maybe you do belong in this state.

Isnt Alexandria home of the giant viking? That is really cool and the huge stone known as the "ruine stone." (sp)?
It was used as someones door step for many years.

Alexandria also hosts a huge country western concert every year and also some huge christian concerts if Im not mistaken.

Draws large crowds of fans.

I'm also a lifelong Alexandria resident, so if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them! Very nice, clean, pleasant place to live. Good people, atmosphere, lifestyle.

You are mistaken, I believe that's Detroit Lakes.
