With global warming, it seems like we only have about 2-3 weeks of the bitter cold TOPS, as opposed to the 6 month general perception. As a fisherman and boater, I have all ready been out on the water 6 times this year and it is not even May yet! I will certainly be adding to that count this weekend.

True. People tend to assume we are on the same latitude as Winnipeg and Saskatoon. In fact, you got me thinking.... instead of sitting here defending our weather, I'm going to go fishing. I'll be on the water in 5 minutes. Y'all have a nice weekend.

This was one the coldest winters we've had.
The only thing unaverage was the snowfall.
Which wasn't even that far off the average.

One of the coldest winters ever???? You must be 2 years old or less. It was a mild winter AGAIN with very little snow. I think Edina needs to go through the statistics again.

And for Mshell, why are you living in the past? April 1-7 was nearly a month ago. It was a bit chilly then. Of coarse it was that way for the WHOLE country. Also we may want to remind people where Grand Marias is...Canadian border where very few people live.
