Yep its a real great place to take your family. They dont celebrate the 4th of july. How american is that?????? Im ashamed to tell ppl that I live here and I hate being here. My home is listed for 7 grand less than I paid for it and it still cant sell. Its not the economy. Its the town and the drugs itself. Its BAD!!!!

There are a lot of towns that do not celebrate 4th of July. Fireworks and the insurance for them are very expensive, and communities just do not get together like they used to.

i moved to pine city from chicago so we could get away from the big city.....i saw an add in a paper about a house and took it. it was the biggest mistake because the town has nothing except bars and a dirty main street. the community doesnt do anything for holidays and other events except the county fair. to make a long story short i moved two minths ago to cambridge and love it. my kids love the school and the town. the town is not to small and not to big with enogh restaurants to eat at. its a great drive to the cities and it seems they keep up well with the streets. main street is very clean and has great bakery....cambridge is a great place to raise a family.

lol....i was looking on a site to see if my house was up for sale in the pine city classifieds and this site came up about pine city. to make a short story i'm moving to cambridge from pinecity because the drive is wonderful to the cities and it's a clean town. great place to live not to big and not to small with enough things to do. joe mauer parents ans joe has a house 10 minutes outside of the town. i read in the cambridge star that they like the cambridge area alot...i actually seen joe mom goes to target like a regular person with no body gaurd.....i think its kind of funny that people who didn't like pine city are moving to cambridge.

Pine City does have a problem with drugs and poverty within the small "inner" city area. Its a small run down town with old homes.
The newer built up area is nicer and the problem does not seem to have moved over to that area, yet or as bad.
Compare the Kenwood area to south mpls. Its all the same city just different area's

it sucks because i grew up in pine city since i left for college....the education sucks because they do not prepare students for college!!!! i hate pc and its a dirty town full of drug trailer trash people....the education sucks and school district is a joke.

i drove through it everyday on my bakery route with holiday.
the only entertainment in that town is that gas station.
most boring city ive seen so far in the state, and ive been through almost all of it.
