Default White bear lake fauna

Hey i was wondering what type of animals live around white bear lake? My dad is orignally from white bear lake minnesotta though he moved out of there when he was about 18(college) and he would tell me he used to hear wolves howling etc. Are there wolves around that area?

HUH?? Wolves?? Coyotes and fox maybe, but no wolves. There are lots of black bears, and deer, but I have never heard of a wolf around here unless it's in a zoo.

Yes, there are wolves in MN and it is possible that he heard wolves growing up around White Bear Lake. That was pretty much a resort area for a long time and really only started to get very developed 25 years ago or so. There are wolves in and around the metro area in some of the wooded area still.
