There are many lake places in Grand Rapids area for $250,000 or more...you could find a very nice place with a sandy beach North of Grand Rapids say in Marcell for $350,000 or so...Minnetonka is a very pricy Twin Cities area lake...try Prior Lake which is pricey but not as bad as Minnetonka. Aslo you could try Marion, Orchard, Alimagnet, Waconia, White Bear, or any one of hundreds of other metro area lakes for a lot less than Minnetonka. Check rothsteinrealty.com in Grand Rapids or maybe a realtor in Brainerd and you can find some great places for under $400.000 on some beautiful lakes like Vermilion, Gull, Turtle, Deer, Pelican, Rainy etc
