I'm going to throw out a possible reason for why these forums have been so slow in the last few weeks. I think it's safe to say that when it's this cold there aren't a whole lot of people considering the move to Minnesota...I know I wouldn't.

I've been too busy playing Metroid Prime and watching Dexter and The Wire. Sorry.

I saw that game at Gamestop for $2.99 I believe. I thought about picking up a gamecube and that game but decided against throwing down $30 for the Gamecube. I guess I was feeling a little bit stingy that day.

I am noticing it being kind of slow of the Twin Cities forum too, at least compared to when I joined, in 2007.

At the height of playing it, there was one day where I got home from a friends house about 11 AM, started playing...and proceeded to play until 8 PM when I got ready and left for a party...so thats 9 hours of solid gameplay. Very rare for me.

I didn't discover the forum until January of last year, but assume that it's a seasonal dip. I think you're right that there's probably not a lot of people dreaming about living the good life in the snow right now, and with the holidays people are busier in general. Also, companies often aren't doing as much active hiring right now, so there's probably fewer people actively considering whether or not to accept a job offer.

Huh...if cold weather keeps people from moving to MN, they would have figured that out before. I moved here 20 years ago because of the cold. I love it! It makes things so beautiful in the spring and summer months.
