I am caucasian and have a daughter who is mixed race. She's got thick, thick, thick hair but it's soft and very curly. I just need to learn how to control it and where to go for product and help. I don't mind the cost, but I need it to be fairly low maintenance if at all possible. Sounds like Aveda in S Mpls or Malobe is a good choice. Am I right?? Please help, I really could use the advice!! Thanks so very much!

The best hair salon in St. Paul is Let's Face It, located off of Como and Snelling Ave.
I have been going there since I was young girl and their still doing their thang.
Its all about healthy hair with them, using the best products in the industry...
A little pricey but well worth the money...I never left there disappointed, they know what you want and what your going for. They also have a Barber Shop as well called Back Stage, theres some dayumm good barbers in there too. So if your man needs a nice cut, or one of little guys.. Send them on down, they'll definitely will be taken care off.

For those still seeking, I concur that Kiki is a great hairstylist! My friend goes to Kiki to get braid-in weaves, and my friend's hair is ALWAYS on point! The braid-in weaves are not cheap (around $150), but they will last a couple of months, according to my friend. I may even get a braid-in weave done by Kiki myself in the future!

A new one out there is Safari Hair Braiding over on East Lake Street in Minneapolis. I went there and their prices were very reasonable and they were offering a nice discount. Dede was the lady who did my hair. She was fast and did an excellent job.

Although I'm bald and never paid more than 10 bucks when I had hair back in the days, I want to comment on this thread. I happen to know a great lady who owns and operate a great hair salon named SalonE and is located in uptown Minneapolis (near lake Calhoun). Check out her website for more information.
Salon E!
Good luck folks
