For parties, i would seatbelt a keg in the front seat of my honda crx and put a football jersey and a hat on it.
lol! Good idea. Did you ever end up passing a cop with the keg all dressed up?

Yes, but at 55mph it looked like a short guy in the passenger seat rather than a metal cylinder.

I'll second the "Yes", but qualify it. Roadblocks are standard procedure in rural areas to check for obvious drunk drivers, expired tags/inspection stickers, expired/revoked licenses, proof of insurance, etc. They are usually located on rural highways and are at night, so traffic is usually fairly light. Standard procedure is you first see a half-dozen police cars with lights on when you top a hill or come around a curve. Do NOT turn around or pull off the road at this point or they WILL chase you down. Pull up to the roadblock, hand the officer (standing in the middle of the road) your license, registration, and proof of insurance. He checks it, looks at you, shines a flashlight in your car, and says "Have a good night", and you drive on. Assuming there isn't a huge line of cars the procedure might delay you a total of 30-60 seconds.

They can search for contraband alcohol the same way they can search for other illegal drugs. Objects in plain sight are fair game (like a keg seatbelted in the passenger seat, or the bottle on the floorboard), but a search of hidden areas requires just cause (drug dog hit, some sort of suspicious behavior, or spotting contraband in the open). I've been through dozens of roadblocks in my life; I've never been searched, and the only ticket was because I had an expired inspection sticker.
