Hi yall
I'm moving from Missouri to Mississippi next week. I'm excited but scared to death at the same time. My husbands family lives on the coast & our daughter(expecting our grandchild) lives in Lucedale. We found a fixer upper farm outside of Lucedale. We put in our two weeks notice & next weeks the big day. Everyone up here thinks I'm crazy! I love Mississippi, I love everything about it, well except maybe the huricane thing, that scares the crap out of me. The ppl are great! I guess I'm scared because I've heard there are NO jobs? Anyone have any advice for this crazy yankee

Lucedale is a nice area, very green and pretty, more fertile and grassy than I expected when I drove through south towards the coast. For jobs you've got Mobile and Pascagoula for certain kinds of jobs within 45 minutes.

I'm moving from Missouri to Mississippi next week. I'm excited but scared to death at the same time. My husbands family lives on the coast & our daughter(expecting our grandchild) lives in Lucedale. We found a fixer upper farm outside of Lucedale. We put in our two weeks notice & next weeks the big day. Everyone up here thinks I'm crazy! I love Mississippi, I love everything about it, well except maybe the huricane thing, that scares the crap out of me. The ppl are great! I guess I'm scared because I've heard there are NO jobs? Anyone have any advice for this crazy yankee
