Starkville is a trip if you're not from the South but there's so much that is wonderful about living here. There's not a lot of restaurants, theaters, etc but there's great people once you know where to find them. Its easier if you belong to a church. Choose where to live wisely. Schools are better in district than in the county, some neighborhoods are friendlier (eg Timbercove) than others, and beware of failing foundations as the soil is largely clay here. If you're open to new people and new experiences, you'll do fine.
