Georgetown Miss. (Hattiesburg, Crystal Springs: transplants, home, high school)

is there anyone here that lives in or near Georgetown, Copiah county.

i am looking for information, and possibly pictures from around town.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I grew up in Crystal Springs, which is in the north part of the county. Area has really changed since I left around ten years ago, I have been told lots of coastal and N.O. transplants due to Katrina. I don't know that much about Georgetown it is kinda out in the middle of nothing. Georgetown has a gas station, high school, post office, and that is probaly about it. Georgetown is about an hour from Hattiesburg, MS if that is helpful. I would just google "Georgetown, Mississippi", or Copiah County Chamber of Commerce. Best of luck.

thanks friend, my mom was from there. i had many happy summers visiting my grandparents back in the 50's and 60's. i was just trying to find old photos of around Georgetown to refresh fading memories.

funny how we take things for granted, until theres nothing left but a foggy memory.
