Olive Branch_Dump near Pleasant Hill & Stateline? (Hernando, Shelby: houses, transfer)

I've heard some say that their is a dump near Pleasant Hill & Stateline Road in Olive Branch. We were looking at houses in that area, but we have not seen a dump near there. Exactly where is it located?

Exactly where you said - Pleasant Hill and Stateline. More precisely it is between Pleasant Hill and US78. Pretty drive on Pleasant Hill however - that garbage must really make the trees grow.
It gets a little rank during the summer in that immediate area, not sure if the stench travels up to those housing developments to the north. I'd say if you were a mile or more away you wouldn't have a problem.

Thanks for the reply. Looking at a map, Pleasant Hill intersects US78 in Memphis (near Holmes Rd), so is the dump actually in Memphis & not in Olive Branch?

You know I don't know what side of the border it's on - check out yahoo maps, there is a feature where you can bring up a sattelite map - look to be a processing plant of sorts north of stateline.
It's hard to see from the road that's why it's not noticed.

I don't think we have a garbage dump in Desoto Co. I heard the Hernando aldermen talk about the trucks going to Shelby County. I do believe we have a trash land fill for limbs, brush & stuff of that nature

There is also a dump just off pleasant hill, between goodman and college. there is no household garbage allowed though, it just "debris and such"..

Thanks for the replies. I finally found the dump. It's located between Stateline, Pleasant Hill & Malone. I could not see it as I was driving up Pleasant Hill, but I could when I was on the Malone side. I have seen the dump between Goodman & Church.


Thanks again for helping me. It would have bothered me to not know how close the dump is to some of the subdivisions that we're considering.

I've seen a sign for 1 going down Pleasant Hill towards Hernando.......hope this helps.
