My failed attempt at humor. Even though I think the OB co-op gets a lot of these type of people in there since they carry many garden seeds and other natural items.

We live in Horn Lake, MS just 20 minutes west of OB, and go to church in OB. Our neighborhood is diverse. The thing about OB is you have to be able to afford it. I think the issues are not racial but social culture. You can be any race as long as you present yourself as clean and responsible. The things people who move to areas like OB are looking for are safety, opportunities, and a sense of morality in the community - people who work, take care of their kids and their property, and have an overall general clean cut respect for themselves and their neighbors. You find a lot of that missing in Memphis.
Hope this helps.

I have been pre-approved for a loan and I will be moving and house shopping next week. Brc925 I have found a few homes in that area as well as Plantation Lakes. I have to admit I found more homes in the Plantation Lakes area and skipped right on by it because of the things I was told and I found I am able to get more for my bucks in PL. I will definitely be moving to the OB area mainly for the school system I have been told it has the best. And the beautiful homes and reduced crime rate compared to Memphis is also a plus. Thanks again and I promise to come back after I get settled with an update. God Bless and again thanks

Hey Kimva2007 I was wondering the same thing...glad you asked! We will be moving to the area towards the end of June and I am so anxious/nervous about the move. Really concerned for my kids! When you are settled, please let me know how things are going!

You can also find a lot of it in existence in Memphis as well...

wow, 1992 and there was not multicultural and diverse shopping, there was in Meridian. everywhere you went people of all races at the mall, and grocery stores, quick stops, so that wasnt happening here. in 1992 thats hard for me to believe.
