Default info on drive time from Dallas to Booneville

my daughter has married a young man whose family is from Booneville MS althought they live in Florida

His mother is having a big party the saturday after thanksgiving for his grandfather's birthday and his grandparents' anniversary...

we are invited--we live just west of Dallas TX--we have driven up there once before they married--and went through Memphis--it was like a 9-10 hr trip maybe more counting food stops and I did not thnk the freeway driving was that good--lots of big trucks and traffic...that was in the summer...

would anyone be able to recommend the route from Dallas to Jackson MS on Interstate 20 and then up 25/45 to Booneville---

from Google Map info it is about an hour or so longer--but if it is an easier trip that would be worth considering--

My husband drives to Shreveport and Ruston LA pretty often for work so he knows that part of road--just not sure how it is east of there...

Any suggestions or information on general road conditions like long-term construction appreciated...

My home is Cleveland, MS, and my nephew lives in Jackson. I-20 straight through to Jackson is about 7 hours from Alvarado. There may be construction, but I don't recall any last time I drove through in May. And why don't you go north on I-55 out of Jackson to some point where you can cut across, maybe Batesville?

Have fun!
