He's been leading in the votes for the Democratic nominee for governor the whole night, and the fact that no one knows who he is has made him the new international man of mystery. He's raised no money, cut no commercials and doesn't even have a website and is poised to win the nomination for Mississippi's highest office. Something's fishy here, but we'll see what's going on.

I don't think there's anything fishy. Gray himself believes people picked his name at random.
As you know we register by party around here. Democrats were asked to choose between two people most of them had never heard of. "Robert Gray" just sounds better than "Vicki Slater".

I know we would all like to think that choices are always made by well informed people, and the choices reflect the will of "The People", but we all know better.
Bill Clinton became President by receiving only 43% of the vote. Then served another term by getting 49% of the vote. Now, most people believe he was the most popular President EVAH!... Go figure.

Fishy or legit, it's the most unlikely candidate for governor of any state I've ever known.

Well, I dunno, he is more qualified than some past governors of Illinois.
