Does anyone know about Mchenry MS (Bay St. Louis: for sale, houses, subdivisions)

Does anyone have any info on Mchenry MS? My husband and I are stationed in Germany and getting ready to settle in MS. We have property in Bay St. Louis that we were going to build on but we are now looking more towards Mchenry. We are looking for a place that is friendly, fairly close to everything including the race track (our hobbies are racing and boating). We also have a friend that is returning from Iraq and will be moving to the same area so if anyone has any ideas we would love to hear them. And any information on that area would be greatly appreciated.

it's a area thats starting to grow, ( houses )
about 20-30 min to coast.
not much for shopping, close to wiggins superwally world.

thanks for the info. I have looked on line for houses for sale and there is not many there. I have heard that there are new subdivisions going in but can't find anything about them on line or the houses for sale in them. Do you have any idea where I can find out. Got no help from realtors.

you may want to look up the stone county ms website. there may be some links or information on there. the stone county enterprise or the times newspapers may also help. if nothing else maybe you can contact the local court house for information.

I see this post is pretty old so you might have already moved. As far as housing goes, my father has build most homes in Mchenry (the nicer looking ones) but he always has a long waiting list. Mchenry is a very small place. I lived there my whole life except moved to Texas a year and a half ago. I'll be moving back there at the end of this summer. Hope you've found a house and settled in and doing great! Best of luck!
