A couple of my friends and I are heading to Biloxi this weekend to celebrate his final days of being single. While I understand Biloxi probably isn't the most ideal place for a bachelor party, I was wondering what kind of things there are to do down there besides gamble. We are staying at one of the Casino's on the gulf. Thanks

OH NO...

Dont let good ol biloxi fool you. It is a great place to have a bachelor party before one goes into marriage. A place i suggest where my great grand father stopped during World War II is on the outskirts of the city and it is a great smile gurantee to leave you with a smile.
This place is called "ROWENAS" now Rowena has been around for many many years and has had many satisified customers and have sent married men and serciveman alike into battle with a smile for years years. The place was in a movie a few years back called BIloxi Blues, my grand father is the one who.....well watch clip for yourself. But Def stop by

I second the advice on Beauvoir. It's beautiful and full of history. Just a lovely place.

We went to Biloxi this summer to check it out and liked it enough to not scratch it off the list of places to relocate. Go to the Biloxi Visitors Center it's a lovely place and you can get a lot of information there. We went early in the morning (before 9 am) and bought tickets to climb the Lighthouse (across the road). The Lighthouse will really be memorable. It's made of cast iron so the they do tours early in the morning.

Also, the parking area across the street is a pick up place for the Biloxi Tour Train. The lady named Carla pulls you around in her jeep and give a tour of the city. She is fun and has southern charm. We went over right after we climbed down from the Lighthouse. There weren't enough people to go so we came back an hour later and it was worth it. (cash only if I remember correctly)

We went on the Shrimp Boat and learned about the shrimping industry, caught a shrimp and were entertained by the tour guide. I think this too was cash only.

Finally, ride over to Slidell, LA about forty minutes away and take a Pearl River Echo swamp tour. The alligators eat marshmallows. We saw some really interesting places in the swamps. Folks tie a home of sorts to a tree and live in there. It was really cool.

For dinner you may want to try Mugshots near Edgewood Mall. It has good burgers and the price is affordable.

Enjoy yourself - we did.
