I'll be driving through this part of the state in a couple weeks and would like to know of any notable points of interest worth checking out. I'm primarily interested in any historical monuments from the Cival War Era as well as good BBQ places.

Thanks in advance...)

The Battle of Shiloh museum and battlefield is in the area. Also if you go down to Tupelo which is about 30 minutes there is the Elvis Presley house. I would also recommend going to Memphis which is only a hour and fifteen minute drive west on route 72 from Corinth. You will find plenty of good BBQ, historical monuments, and tourist attractions. Head to the Memphis main library for your history fix. The history department their is awesome and has many cool artifacts dealing with the history of the Mid-South. It is the best library system in the region and one of the best in the country.

Is the "slug" burger still big in Corinth?

It is more of a nostalgia thing to me. I lived in that area during my early college years and remember liking the area quite a bit.
