Default Dental Assistant Jobs

Hello everyone. My wife & I will be moving to the Northern Mississippi suburbs of Memphis early next year. I will have a job in place, but I was wondering about a dental assisting job in North Mississippi for my wife. She has been in the field now 4 years, but is not registered. But has all California requirements like radiation license. If anyone on here can help us find her a job, that would be wonderful. Can she work in North Mississippi or Memphis, with these requirements? We have heard that in order for her to work in Memphis, she would need to take the TN test to be registered (which is real expensive). Is this true? What about North Mississippi? Thank you in advance for all responces.

I'm not trying to be at all sarcastic, but unless there happen to be a lot of unlicensed Dental hygenists on this forum, I don't think anyone would likely know that.

How about looking up dentists in the Y pages and calling them to ask? They might also know someone who is looking for one.

These will both be helpful to your wife. American Dental Association (for accredited programs & exam info by state):

ADA.org: Dental Assisting, Hygiene and Lab Technology Programs - U.S.

There are 3 schools in MS who offer the only accredited Dental Assisting programs in that state, which she can call prior to moving, to have her bases covered.

US Dept. of Labor, Bureau of Labor Stats. Best info Re: Assisting:

Best of luck...
